Consistent Performance in M40-44 Division The runner maintained a steady pace throughout the race, particularly excelling in the M40-44 division. From the beginning, the pace was consistent, starting with a 6:52 min/mile in the first mile and settling into a slightly faster average of 6:41 to 6:43 min/mile for much of the race. Notably, they finished strong with a 6:21 min/mile for the 20th and 21st miles. A trend towards accelerating in the latter half of the race helped move up from 15th place overall to a solid 10th place by the end. The runner achieved 2nd place in the M40-44 division during miles 20 and 21, which indicates a particularly strong performance among peers. Consistency in pacing contributed to the overall success, although maintaining this increased pace across the final miles consistently could further enhance future performances.
