Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish in Half Marathon Ginger Nay delivered a solid performance at the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Starting at a 9:01 min/mile pace, she continued to improve her pace significantly throughout the race. Notably, from the 2nd to 5th mile, there was a consistent increase in speed, with split paces moving from 9:14 to 8:12 min/mile. After hitting mile 5, Ginger managed to maintain an impressive pace, especially excelling in the mid-race where she achieved her fastest segment with an 8:14 min/mile pace between miles 3 and 4. In her division (F 50-54), Ginger finished 22nd out of the participants, and 337th in the Female category. Her final time was 1:54:52, with an overall average pace of 8:46 min/mile. While she did experience a slight slow down towards the later miles, her robust middle section showcases a promising range to work with. Maintaining this mid-race pace consistently could benefit future events. Keep up the great work, Ginger!
