Consistent Split Strategy with a Strong Finish Nathanial Vasquez ran the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon from Sandy, UT, achieving an official time of 1:34:40 and an average pace of 7:13 min/mile. During the first four miles, he maintained a steady pace of 7:21 min/mile and held a solid position, staying in 193rd overall. As the race progressed, Nathanial showed a commendable burst of speed at mile 5, clocking in at 6:31 min/mile, which propelled him forward by 19 places in overall standings. Interestingly, Nathanial managed to maintain a faster pace of under 7:01 min/mile between miles 5 and 9. Though there was a slight decrease in his speed towards the end, resulting in splits of 7:32 and 7:48 min/mile, his strategic pacing during the middle miles secured him the 23rd position in his division (M 19-24).
