Consistent Pacing Marks the Race Luis displayed consistent pacing during the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon, completing the race in 3:25:47 with an average pace of 15:42 per mile. Of note is the improvement from the first mile at 15:25, to the fastest split at mile 9 with a time of 13:54. The second half of the race was faster, resulting in an improved pace despite an initial start that was slightly slower. Notably, splits six and seven were impressive with times of 14:50 and 14:33, respectively. Luis finished 884th among males and held 81st in his division, showing potential for improving placement with strategic pacing adjustments. The wide variance in split times, particularly the 17:52 at mile eleven, suggests a need for energy management in the latter stages. Despite these challenges, Luis maintained a steady approach representing the Holistic Runners team well. Consider focusing on a more uniform pace for future races.
