Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Trent Ward demonstrated a steady pace throughout the race, maintaining an overall pace of 10:09 minutes per mile in the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. The pace ranged from a strong initial 9:24 minutes per mile, consistently intensifying to a top speed of 8:52 minutes per mile in the third mile. Trent held a steady pace for the majority of the race, including an impressive 9:09 pace at the fifth mile, showcasing his pacing ability. Despite a noticeable decrease in pace starting from mile 8, Trent still managed to maintain a competitive overall pace and crossed the finish line with an elapsed time of 2:13:00. He placed 11th in the Male 60-64 division out of a total of 2630 participants, which is commendable. While the latter miles slowed slightly, there's an opportunity to focus on maintaining the early mile pace in future runs to enhance the overall performance.
