Consistent Effort Despite Rising Challenges Dallin Nelson completed the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon with a final time of 3:17:05, averaging a 15:02 min/mile pace. Starting strong, Dallin recorded the fastest split of 12:06 min/mile during the first mile. Throughout the race, splits and pace metrics showcased his initial firm pace that gradually decreased, with the last recorded split at 17:11 min/mile at mile 13. Despite the slowdown, his effort saw him finishing in the top 2308 overall out of 2630 participants, placing 878th among men and 184th in the M 25-29 division. From Spanish Fork, UT, Dallin represented the team "We Got The Runs" effectively. Notably, during the race, his ranking fluctuated, moving from 527th at mile 1 within males to 878th by the end. Tackling the course steadily, increased awareness of pacing might help maintain mid-race speed and endurance in future races.
