Strong Start with Consistent Pacing Amber Monson kicked off the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon with a consistent pace, maintaining a strong 9:06 min/mile through the first 3 miles. An improvement in splits was noticeable in miles 4 and 5, where she accelerated to 8:23 and 7:54 min/mile, respectively, boosting her placement to 875th overall and 43rd in her division. This quick pace helped solidify her performance early on. As the race progressed, the pacing shifted. After a few sub-9-minute miles, the pace began to slow, with the final splits ranging above 10 min/mile.
