Consistent Effort with Strategic Finish Armando Martinez demonstrated a consistent running approach at the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Marathon. Starting strong with an initial mile split of 8:55, he maintained his pace closely around the 9:10 to 10:30 min/mile range for the majority of the race. A notable aspect of Martinezs performance was his ability to manage fluctuations, with only a few segments stretching beyond an 11 and 12-minute mile pace. Martinez closed the marathon with an overall time of 5:01:38, yielding an average pace of 11:30 min/mile. His placement of 845th out of 1388 participants and 47th in his age division (M 35-39) shows a strong determination throughout the event. While he faced challenges towards the later miles with an 18-minute split, his determination shone through in earlier consistent pacing.
