Consistent Performance with Strong Splits Tammy Lawson's performance showcased consistent pacing across the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Starting with a first mile split of 9:52 min/mile, she maintained a disciplined pace. Her most notable mid-race gain was during mile five, clocking an impressive pace of 8:39 min/mile, moving her up in the overall rankings to 729th in her gender category. This surge indicated strong stamina, as she strategically managed to keep her pace below the 11:00 min/mile mark in nine of the thirteen miles. Tammy steadied her pace with an overall elapsed time of 2:13:46 and an average pace of 10:12 min/mile. Although her overall placement was 1398th out of 2630 participants, her efficiency and race strategy were commendable. Highlighting some focus areas: late-stage pacing saw drops, particularly in miles four, eight, and eleven. Focusing more on maintaining a consistent pace in these sections could enhance overall performance in future races.
