Consistent Pace Improvement Marks the Day Emily Wilson completed the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon with a solid overall time of 2:16:03 and an average pace of 10:23 min/mile. Noteworthy is the significant improvement in her pace through the latter parts of the race. Starting strongly with an even 11:14 min/mile at the first mile, Emily quickly increased her pace, reaching below 10-minute splits from the 5th mile onward. The final miles between 9 and 11 showed remarkable consistency, maintaining a steady pace between 9:38 and 9:48 min/mile while her placement surged forward. She achieved a notable finish in the top half of her division, placing 75th out of 146 in the Female 45-49 category. While she began in 1247th overall position, her consistent pace allowed her to improve to 1465th by the end. Continued focus on this progression and pacing strategy can further enhance her performance in future events. Great job, Emily!
