Consistent Pacing with Strong Start and Recovery Finish Ben Waldo maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Marathon. His early miles were his strongest, with an initial pace of 9:04 min/mile in Mile 1, placing him 348th among males. A noticeable highlight was the quick recovery in Mile 21, where he clocked a 9:03 min/mile pace, improving his position among the division rank to 117th. While the later stage saw a slowdown with a peak split time of 16:22 in Mile 26, Ben exhibited resilience by completing the marathon with an overall time of 4:55:31. He ranked 113th in the M 19-24 division. Notably, there was a dip in pace towards the end, suggesting focusing on endurance would enhance performance next time. Despite this, his ability to regain momentum in the last miles exemplifies his potential.
