Consistent Start with a Steady Pace Kimberly Keck, representing The Ham String Quartet, maintained a consistent pace through the initial stages of the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Her first two miles were clocked at 8:28 min/mile, with seamless splits. At mile 3, she accelerated briefly, achieving a split pace of 7:58 min/mile, her fastest of the race. From mile 4 to 5, she sustained strong efforts, maintaining splits below 8:00 min/mile. After reaching the halfway point, Kimberly experienced a gradual increase in split times, culminating at mile 13 with a split pace of 10:54 min/mile. Her overall time was 1:58:29 with an average pace of 9:02 min/mile, placing her 51st in the F 35-39 division. Analyzing her performance, it would be beneficial to focus on sustaining early momentum throughout the latter stages. Fantastic effort overall!
