Steady Progress with Strong Competition Suzanne Young from Las Vegas, NV, completed the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Marathon with a time of 4:47:10, maintaining an average pace of 10:57 min/mile. She represented her team, Sole Sisters, and finished 13th in her division, Female 50-54, out of a competitive field. A particularly consistent performance was noted in the initial miles, starting with a quick 8:14 mile pace, although the pace showed variability with a low of 9:00 min/mile and peaked at 12:50 min/mile between miles 22 and 23. Highlighting her best miles, she ran the first mile at 8:14 and returned to a sub-10 min/mile pace in mile 13 (9:24 min/mile) and mile 14 (9:21 min/mile). Although the latter portion of the race saw a decrease in speed, Suzanne showed determination by finishing strong. For future races, focusing on consistent pacing in the later miles may enhance results. Excellent effort overall in a field of 1,388 participants!
