Steady Pace with a Strong Finish Michelle Adams demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Starting with an 8:53 min/mile, she maintained a steady pace, averaging 8:28 min/mile by the end, reflecting her strategic execution. An interesting progression was noted in her splits: she managed to increase her pace progressively from mile 4, picking up pace with a PR-split time of 7:52 min/mile during both the 7th and 8th miles. This focused speed enhancement helped her finish in the top 17 of her division, a commendable outcome against a competitive field. Michelle's overall placement was 586th out of 2630 participants, while finishing 260th among females and 17th in her division. The pacing consistency was evident, though the last mile saw a drop to 9:25 min/mile. Working on finishing speed to maintain earlier momentum can enhance future performance.
