Steady Beginnings with Room for Tactical Adjustments Kadin Tanner from Kaysville, UT, completed the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Marathon. He maintained a consistent pace within the early miles, particularly during the second split with a pace of 9:07 min/mile. Remarkably, he climbed more than 100 places to 514th after the third mile, highlighting potential for strategic improvements. The split times show slight variations, with a notable drop in pace at mile 4 (10:01 min/mile), suggesting an opportunity to enhance endurance for sustained energy distribution. In the latter half of the marathon, Kadin's pace gradually slowed to 12:05 min/mile by the finish line. The splits from mile 16 onwards reflected an increased pace, particularly mile 23 at 17:50 min/mile. Although the overall pace positioned him at 919th out of 1388 participants, focusing on pacing strategies during training could improve his strength towards the marathon's end, which will be beneficial in future races.
