Consistent Performance with Early Acceleration and Strong Finish Joshua Hink showed an excellent and consistent performance from the start of the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Beginning with an 8:10 pace for the first mile, he quickly accelerated, recording some of his fastest splits at miles 4 and 5 with a pace of 6:53 and 6:40 respectively. Notably, he maintained positions within his division, moving as high as 17th place at mile 9. His consistent effort reflects the commitment characteristic of his team, the Wasatch Warriors. In the latter part of the race, there was a gradual slowing in splits from mile 10 onwards, with mile 12 and 13 being the slowest at 9:51 and 9:56 respectively. Despite this, Joshua finished with an overall time of 1:43:43, averaging a pace of 7:55 min/mile. This was reflected in consistently competitive placements in his division and gender, finishing 27th in his division among 2630 participants. Consider focusing on pacing strategies in the later miles to enhance the overall race performance.
