Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Ethan Shamanis from Vineyard, UT, exhibited a commendable start at the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon with steady pacing in the early stages. His first mile split at 11:06 min/mile set a solid tone, showing consistency through the initial phases of the race. Particularly noteworthy is the improvement in mile 3, where he posted a split time of 10:57, marking his fastest mile pace. This consistency allowed him to advance his position to 388th among male participants by mile 2. However, in the second half of the race, the pace started to decline. Ethan encountered slower splits from mile 9 onwards, with mile 10 registering a pace drop at 16:22 min/mile.
