Consistent Effort with Strategic Splits Lucy Davis demonstrated a consistent performance in the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon with a final time of 2:25:18. Her splits show initial sub-10-minute miles, including a strong start at 9:33 min/mile for the first mile. Remarkably, she held a solid pace with her fastest mile logged at 8:55 min/mile during mile five. This string of consistent early splits contributed to improved positioning, reaching 325th in her gender after the second mile. In the latter half, Lucy faced a drop in pace, culminating in longer split times towards the finish, including a 14:24 min/mile in the final mile. Despite this, she finished among the top 40% of participants, with notable division standing at 187th out of all 25-29 female participants and an overall position of 1741 out of 2630 total participants. Analyzing and focusing on maintaining consistent pacing across all splits could enhance overall time in future races.
