Steady Pace with Strong Finishes Fumiko Aoki demonstrated excellent consistency throughout the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Starting with an 8:40 min/mile pace, she then gradually improved, hitting her fastest mile at a pace of 7:48 min/mile in the fifth mile. Her overall pace was a strong 8:22 min/mile, and she put up a solid performance with a total time of 1:49:42. While there was a slight drop in pace to 8:50 min/mile at the 13th mile, she maintained a steady position in her division, finishing 23rd among females aged 30-34. Notably, Fumiko consistently advanced her standing, starting in 25th and moving to 23rd by the end of the race. Her overall finish was 544th out of 2630 participants and 238th among all female participants, indicating a well-paced strategy. For future races, working on maintaining faster paces in the later miles could enhance her placement even further.
