Steady Improvement and Consistency Exhibited Arlo Schenk demonstrated steady improvement throughout the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Starting with an initial pace of 12:30 min/mile in the first mile, Arlo quickly increased his pace to 11:57 min/mile in the second mile, continuing to improve to 10:12 by the third mile. This concerted effort improved his standing in his age division from 52nd to 37th place by the second mile, showcasing a strategic and effective start. Although some fluctuations were noticed later in the race, such as a slower 16:32 min/mile during mile 8, Arlo finished strong with a total race time of 2:42:10 and an overall pace of 12:22 min/mile. Notably, he ranked 72nd within his division for M 40-44 and 803rd among male participants, underscoring his dedication and ability to perform consistently across all segments. Improving consistency in the latter miles could enhance results. Well done!
