Consistent Pace, Strong Finish Betty Wessman delivered a commendable performance in the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile race in 1:38:33 with an average pace of 7:31 min/mile. She exhibited impressive pacing, particularly in the latter half, achieving her fastest splits during miles 5 and 7 with times of 7:00 and 7:06, respectively. Starting with an 8:02 min/mile pace, she steadily improved, culminating in a strong finish with her last two miles at 7:13 and 7:41. Betty placed 2nd in her F 15-18 division and 68th out of female participants, showing great competitiveness among her peers. She improved her overall standing from 243rd to a final position of 200th. Her strategic pacing and ability to accelerate as the race progressed were key strengths.
