Consistent Performance with Steady Splits Zack Peters from Santaquin, UT, delivered a consistent performance in the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. Maintaining an overall pace of 11:35 min/mile, Zack completed the 13.1-mile course in 2:31:55. Starting with a 10:40 min/mile pace for the first mile, Zack kept a consistent pacing strategy, with minor fluctuations, resulting in an even distribution of splits throughout the race. Notably, mile 3 was the fastest split at 10:08 min/mile, showing a strong section of speed early in the race. Strategically, although the last few miles saw an increase in split times, Zack maintained a solid overall standing of 753rd for his gender and 157th in his division (M 25-29). The mile-by-mile analysis suggests focusing on endurance, particularly in the last third of the race, could help in maintaining or improving an overall pace. Zack showed resilience and met the challenge of completing this challenging event with determination, a performance to take lessons from.
