Consistency and Gradual Pacing in Marathon Performance Joey Gamez from New Braunfels, TX, participated in the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Marathon. Over the race, he maintained a steady pace, resulting in an overall time of 4:30:35 and an average pace of 10:19 min/mile. An interesting aspect of Joey's performance is the improvements in his splits, particularly between the 14th and 18th miles where he shifted from a pace of 9:18 min/mile to 9:00 min/mile, a significant improvement when compared to his earlier miles.
