Consistent Splits with a Strong Finish Brigit Smith executed a steady performance with consistent pacing throughout the 2026 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon. The first four miles were marked by uniformity, each completed in 8:53, showcasing impressive pacing discipline. A slight improvement was seen in miles 5 and 6 with paces of 8:13 and 8:20, respectively. Maintaining a sub-9-minute pace for most of the race helped Brigit secure a time of 1:55:50, averaging an 8:50 per mile. Brigit also demonstrated resilience, recovering from a 9:05 split at mile 8 to regain momentum for the remaining miles. Finishing 770th overall, 355th among female participants, and 91st in the F 19-24 division, Brigit's pacing strategy and ability to finish strong are commendable.
