Consistent Effort with Late Challenges Kody maintained an impressive pace in the initial segments of the marathon, achieving a fast start with a 5:52 mile. Consistent performance was shown through the first half, with only slight variations in pace, maintaining close to a 6:22 min/mile for several miles. Kody's steady pace was underscored by maintaining a top placement in his division, 5th through mile 11. The second half of the race introduced slightly increasing split times. At mile 20, Kody's pace shifted to 7:00 min/mile. The later miles saw the pacing moving into the 7-minute range, with the last split at 7:56 min/mile. Despite these challenges, Kody successfully completed the marathon with an overall time of 2:57:41, placing 6th in his division. Maintaining a sub-7:00 min/mile average until the final miles is commendable. Fine-tuning pacing strategies in the latter portions of the race could lead to an even better performance next time.
