Strong Finish and Strategic Pacing in 10K Alma Aldrich displayed a commendable performance in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Her strategic pacing was especially evident after the third mile. While the early second and third miles showed decreased pace with times of 16:22 and 13:33 minutes per mile, Alma impressively accelerated in the latter half of the race. Notably, her fourth mile was the fastest split at a pace of 5:44 per mile. Reviewing overall performance, Alma completed the 10K in 1:06:01 with an average pace of 10:38 per mile. She placed 713th in the F30-39 division, out of several thousand participants. The highest leap in ranking was observed between miles 2 and 3, advancing from 4146th to 2040th in overall standings. The improvement in pace during the last three miles suggests the potential for an even more consistent pace throughout future races. Introducing more steady pacing from the start could lead to significant performance gains.
