Consistent Pace, Strong Finish Qingfen Zhang completed the 2025 Boston 10K for Women with a consistent and increasingly strong performance. Starting with an 11:04 min/mile pace in the first mile, Qingfen notably picked up the pace by over a minute to consistently stay around the 10:00 min/mile mark from mile 4 onwards. This improvement in her pacing strategy resulted in a closing mile of 10:07 min/mile. Such consistency and progression are commendable, especially in a larger field, which saw a strong overall placement that significantly improved from the start of the race. From an initial placement of 2943, Qingfen improved her standing by 1417 positions, culminating in an overall placement of 1526 for the final split. This upward trajectory indicates effective race strategy and pace management. Qingfen's performance in the F40-49 division also showed a marked improvement, moving up from 507th to 263rd by the end of the race. Continuing to focus on her pacing strategy could further improve future race results.
