Her race featured notable improvements in the second and fourth mile segments with splits of 12:31 and 12:13, respectively, which contributed to a mid-race climb in overall placement. Her second mile was particularly impressive, showing a pace improvement over the first mile and a higher placement of 1,438th in her division. Madison began the race with a steady pace, clocking the first mile at 13:41, and showed resilience maintaining relatively consistent pacing throughout the race despite a challenging 5th mile at 17:46.
