Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Daria Bocancea delivered a steady performance with an average pace of 6:52 min/mile in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Opening with a split of 6:38 in the first mile, she maintained an even pace throughout, passing the 5-mile mark at 34:20. Notably, after a slight dip in the middle of the race, Daria effectively picked up her pace again in the final stages, showcasing her ability to recover and maintain speed. With consistent pacing, Daria completed the race in 42:37, placing 49th in her division. Her overall strength was evident as her position improved near the end, moving up from 93rd to 77th overall and in the top 74 within her gender. As a part of the MIT Slonies team, continuing to focus on maintaining a more stable pace could yield even better results in future races.
