Consistent Early Pace with Strategic Finish Irene Abrams displayed a steady performance throughout the Boston 10K for Women, maintaining a calculated pace from the onset. Starting with an initial mile pace of 10:48 minutes, her split time improved slightly in the second mile to 10:33 minutes, before decelerating slightly with splits of 11:04 and 11:16 in the third and fourth miles respectively. Notably, Irene improved her standings in each subsequent split, finishing impressively higher at the fifth mile, moving from 2728th to 2013th in overall placement. Completing the race with an overall time of 1:09:20 and a consistent overall pace of 11:11 min/mile, Irene showed strategic pacing which brought her 139th in her division (F60-69) out of a competitive field. Focusing on maintaining a steady pace in the middle segments will allow for more consistency across all splits.
