Consistent Pace with Late Race Gain Deanna maintained a steady pace throughout the race, showcasing notable consistency in her splits. Beginning with an 11:14 min/mile pace, she slightly accelerated to 11:01 in the second mile before stabilizing in the 11:10-11:32 range for the remainder. Her swiftest split was in Mile 6, clocking a 11:06 min/mile, which demonstrates her ability to sustain speed late in the race when many tend to slow. Her overall race time was 1:08:53 for the 10K event, reflecting a commendable pace of 11:06 min/mile. Deanna's overall position improved significantly, particularly in the final mile, moving up nearly 1,000 places from her lowest standing. In the F50-59 division, Deanna placed 273rd out of 5663 total participants. For future races, consider working on even pacing to close with the same strength exhibited in the final mile.
