Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Emily Julien demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Beginning her race with a 9:28 min/mile pace, she progressively quickened her tempo. Notably, her fastest mile was the 2nd at 9:02 min/mile. This strategy of starting steady and gradually increasing speed reflects well on her endurance training. Throughout the race, Emily showed commendable advancement in her placement, moving from 1271st overall at the first mile to a final position of 1132 out of 5663 participants. Her performance in the F20-29 division also improved significantly, finishing 449th. The consistent improvement in her splits, especially towards the race's end, suggests an excellent pacing strategy. Continuing to develop this strategy will be beneficial for Emily's future races, particularly in maintaining or slightly increasing her pace in the latter stages.
