Consistent Progression Through Each Mile Shannon Malone from Plymouth, MA, demonstrated solid consistency throughout the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Starting strong, she completed her first mile with a pace of 10:53 min/mile. By the second mile, Shannon improved her pace to 10:33 min/mile, showcasing her ability to incrementally increase speed early in the race. Despite a slight slow down in miles three and four with paces of 11:20 and 11:45 min/mile respectively, Shannon found her stride again toward the end, finishing her final mile at 11:08 min/mile. Her overall time of 1:09:26 translates to an average pace of 11:11 min/mile over the 10K distance. Ending at 3087th place out of 5663 participants, Shannons race strategy reflects a commendable effort.
