Steady Performance with Consistent Pace Mariya Chokova, 36, from Holliston, MA, competed in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women, completing the race in 1:12:40. Her average pace was a steady 11:43 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course. Mariya showed a consistent performance throughout the race, with split times hovering close to the average pace, and improved her overall position significantly in the final mile. Starting with an 11:59 pace, she quickly adjusted to an 11:25 pace on the second mile. The consistency in mile splits, particularly maintaining an almost uniform pace from mile 2 to mile 5, was a highlight. Although there was a slight slowdown to 12:01 in the final mile, finishing 2303rd overall shows that she made an impressive effort for the distance. Focusing on maintaining the second mile's pace throughout might reduce her overall time in future races.
