Consistent 10K Effort Demonstrates Early Race Strength Mason Davis maintained a strong start in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Opening with a first-mile split pace of 7:52 min/mile, she showed excellent early race speed. Her second mile improved slightly to a 7:48 min/mile pace, demonstrating her potential for consistent performance. Notably, her early pacing enabled her to secure a position of 289th overall at the first mile, despite a highly competitive field of 5,663 runners. As the race progressed, Mason experienced some slowdown, with her pace adjusting to 8:50 min/mile by the sixth mile. Yet, she successfully finished with an overall race time of 51:29 and maintained a commendable average pace of 8:18 min/mile. For future races, focusing on maintaining the initial pace in the latter stages could enhance her overall time and placements further.
