Steady Progress and Strong Finish Rebekah Nyakairu, from Winthrop, MA, participated in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women and completed the race with a time of 1:07:22. Her overall pace was 10:52 min/mile for the 6.2-mile course. Starting with an initial split of 11:05, Rebekah improved her pace by the second mile to 10:42. Continuing with consistent splits, she maintained an average pace of approximately 10:53 min/mile through the majority of the race. A significant highlight was Rebekah's last mile where she achieved a pace of 10:49, resulting in a considerable boost in her placements, advancing over 790 positions from mile 5 to mile 6. Her improvements through each split are noteworthy and demonstrate a positive finish strategy. Focus on maintaining that momentum in future races would continue this successful trend. With further conditioning, some of the longer splits could be reduced for an even faster finishing time.
