Consistent Pacing Leads to Strong Finish Whitney showcased commendable consistency and gradual improvement in her pacing during the race. Her first mile clocked in at 8:35 min/mile, setting a steady foundation. She significantly picked up the pace, hitting her strongest mile at 8:10 min/mile in the second split. This trend continued with consistent splits and a final overall pace of 8:17 min/mile. Her ability to maintain a consistent pace helped improve her positions progressively, moving up from 622nd overall to an impressive 366th by the final split. Despite slightly slowing during the fifth mile with a split of 8:28 min/mile, Whitney quickly regained momentum. Her final time of 51:23 demonstrates her ability to sustain energy throughout the course. Moreover, her placement improved significantly in the F40-49 division, rising from 98th to finish 50th.
