Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish Mary Lenihan demonstrated a commendable performance as she steadily improved her pace throughout the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Her splits showed a consistent drop in time, with her initial split clocking in at 11:04 min/mile, then gradually decreasing to an impressive 10:34 min/mile by mile 6. She maintained an average pace of 10:42 min/mile over the entire 6.2 miles. Mary's strategic pacing contributed greatly to her strong finish, moving up significantly in the rankings throughout the race. Starting at 2,949th overall, she made remarkable progress to finish at 1,755th overall. This upward trajectory was also reflected in her division standing; she finished 654th in her F20-29 division. Analyzing her splits, it seems a more aggressive start could optimize her race strategy further. Nonetheless, Marys race demonstrated effective endurance and pacing improvements.
