Consistent Pace with a Strong Division Finish Joan Liptak demonstrated remarkable consistency at the 2025 Boston 10K for Women with consistent pacing throughout the event. Starting with an 8:56 min/mile, Joan continually quickened her pace, improving by approximately 18 seconds per mile by mile 4. By the halfway point at mile 3, she was running at an impressive 8:47 min/mile pace. Her ability to maintain sub-9-minute miles highlights her steady performance and strategic race management. Joan's position improved significantly during the second half of the race. She ascended from an 865th placement at mile 1 to finish 764th overall, reflecting a climb of over 100 positions. Her final time was 53:53, landing her in 301st within her division (F20-29) out of a highly competitive field. Continuing to work on the last mile pace could further enhance her race experience.
