Strong Consistency and Steady Improvement Melissa showed consistently strong pacing throughout the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Starting with an 8:02 min/mile, Melissa quickly found her rhythm and improved her pace, clocking her fastest mile with a split time of 7:48 during the second mile. Her ability to maintain sub-8 minute miles for the majority of the race demonstrates excellent pacing skills and endurance. Although her split pace slightly slowed in later miles, peaking at 8:24 in the final mile, Melissa maintained solid placement within her division, finishing in the 60th position for the F40-49 age group out of numerous competitors. Her overall elapsed time of 50:51 over the 6.2 miles reflects a commendable average pace of 8:12 min/mile. Strategically focusing on maintaining a steady pace in the later miles would likely yield even faster results in future races. Excellent job representing Lincoln, MA!
