Consistent Effort Across Splits Pays Off Wesley Keefer demonstrated a steady performance with a final time of 1:11:45 in the 10K event, maintaining a consistent average pace of 11:34 min/mile. Splits reveal remarkable consistency, with each mile run between 11:11 and 12:00 min/mile. Notably, Wesley improved his placement in the category "Place Gender M," moving from 80th to 40th position during mile six. Additionally, his place in the division M30-39 peaked at 12th. His pacing remained stable across the splits, an excellent foundation for future races. An opportunity exists to focus on slightly quicker pacing, particularly in the latter half of the race, where the pace varied more than initially. Yet, it is clear Wesley's ability to maintain composure throughout serves him well. Training that emphasizes speed work could take this strong base to the next level. Keep focusing on what works, and consider investing in intervals or tempo runs.
