Consistent Improvement Through Each Mile Meredith Close from Jamaica Plain, MA, effectively improved her pace throughout the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Starting with an 11:30 min/mile pace for the first mile, she advanced consistently to complete the race in 1:08:05 with an overall pace of 10:58 min/mile. This steady progression is evident as she reduced her mile times consistently, notably improving to a 10:47 min/mile pace by the fourth mile. Her efforts resulted in climbing the ranks significantly from 3,338 at the beginning to finishing 2,913 among 5,663 participants.
