Consistent Early Splits with a Late Surge Carmen Mei from Millis, MA completed the 2025 Boston 10K for Women in a time of 1:28:09. She maintained a steady start, with her first and second miles recorded at paces of 12:31 and 12:29 minutes per mile, respectively. Her performance showed stability across these first miles, suggesting good pacing strategy in her initial race stages. A noteworthy observation in Carmen's race was her ability to pick up pace towards the end. Despite slowing down in miles 3 and 4, she managed to regain momentum in the latter part of the race. She improved her overall standing by 991 places from mile 5 to mile 6. Continuing to work on pacing through the mid-race could be beneficial for even stronger finishes in future events. Overall, Carmen's resilience and improvement in the second half of the race were commendable.
