Consistent Progress Across the Miles Talyn displayed excellent pacing during the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Her splits show a steady improvement over the first three miles, moving from an 11:03 min/mile in the first mile to a consistent sub-11-minute pace in the second and third miles, with her third mile at 10:41 min/mile. She maintained a steady effort throughout and significantly improved her placement, rising from 2924th in the first mile to 1923rd by the finish line. While she temporarily slowed to a 12:05 min/mile in the fifth mile, likely due to fatigue, she quickly regrouped, finishing her last mile strongly at 10:47 min/mile. The overall time of 1:08:13 and an average pace of 11:00 min/mile indicates an effective strategy for maintaining balance and endurance across the entire race. As a coach, I would suggest focusing on maintaining pace consistency in the middle section for an even greater finish in future races. Great effort, Talyn!
