Consistent Performance Despite Slowing Pace Caroline Kovacs, a 17-year-old from Waltham, MA, participated in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women, maintaining a strong overall pace. Her performance started with impressive splits, clocking 6:24 min/mile for the first mile with a corresponding time that aided in initially holding 4th place in her age division. Throughout the race, her pacing showed a little decline with the miles 3 to 5, recording times of 6:48, 6:51, and 7:08 respectively, before picking up slightly in the final mile with a 7:05 split. Although her pace slowed slightly as the race progressed, Caroline's ability to regain momentum in the last mile is commendable, contributing to her final overall time of 41:53 and solidifying her position in the top 5 of her F15-19 division at the finish. Focusing on maintaining that early pace consistency could lead to a stronger performance in future races.
