Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish in 10K Amanda maintained a steady pace throughout the race, concluding the 10K with an elapsed time of 1:02:59, and an overall pace of 10:09 min/mile. A notable performance was observed in the final mile where she accelerated to a split pace of 9:17 min/mile, her fastest of the race. This late surge contributed to a final position of 811th in her F20-29 age division, out of 1,115 participants. It is commendable how Amanda managed to enhance her position progressively through different segments, particularly making a significant leap in her division, moving up from 842nd to 811th between miles three and six. This demonstrates that her strategy can include a realistic focus on pacing and strategic effort in the later parts of races. For future races, work on maintaining the faster pace seen in the last mile across earlier sections to improve overall race time.
