Consistent Performance with Strategic Gains Katherine Flamenco from Framingham, MA participated in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women, finishing with a time of 1:07:32. Katherine maintained a consistent pace throughout the race, averaging 10:53 minutes per mile. Her split times showed an interesting pattern; she began with a 10:52 pace for the first mile and improved to 10:33 by the second mile. Despite a slight decrease in speed later, she ended the race strong with an average of 10:55 minutes per mile for the final mile. Katherine placed 770th in her age division (F30-39) and 2776th overall among 5663 participants. An impressive aspect of her race was the strategic gains in positions, particularly between the 5th and 6th miles, where she moved up nearly 700 positions overall and 210 in her division. For future races, focusing on maintaining the mid-race pace in later stages could further improve her standings.
