Consistent Pacing Leads to Solid Finish Christy showed remarkable endurance, completing the 10K in 1:46:45 with an overall pace of 17:13 min/mile. Starting with a swift first mile at 16:31 min/mile, she maintained consistent pacing throughout the race, with her pace varying only slightly between 17:07 and 17:33 min/mile over miles two to six. Her best split, 17:07 min/mile during mile four, highlights potential that could be leveraged for a strong push. Though Christy started at 1,363rd place overall, slight dips occurred primarily during the second and third miles. Nonetheless, she impressively gained significant momentum in the final mile, finishing ahead of 1,330 participants who were previously ahead. Focusing on maintaining the strong finish she demonstrated in the final mile throughout future races could further enhance her performance.
