Consistent Downward Trend in Pace Avery DePiero demonstrated an impressive performance in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women, clocking a final time of 36:53 with an overall pace of 5:56 min/mile. Starting at 74th place overall in the first mile, Avery improved her position significantly by each subsequent mile. Her most notable improvement came between the first and second mile where she shaved 37 seconds off her pace, moving up from 74th to 42nd overall. Avery's steady progression continued as she maintained a consistent downward trend in pace across all mile splits. Her pacing strategy was extremely effective as she ended the race in 17th place out of a total of 5663 participants. Being part of the DePiero Duo team, her final mile showcased a strong finish at a 5:49 min/mile pace, her fastest pace of the race.
