Consistently Improving with Every Mile Derek demonstrated impressive improvement in pace throughout the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Starting with a pace of 10:39 min/mile, he progressively increased his speed, culminating in a split pace of 10:05 min/mile by mile six. This consistent improvement is reflected in his final elapsed time of 1:03:49. He advanced his position significantly from an overall place of 2477 during the first mile to 1491 by the final mile. While his overall and division placements were solid, a focus on sustaining the faster pace from the last two splits could further enhance his future race performances.
